In what has become an eventful start to the NFL offseason, the Denver Broncos have made another significant change. Wide receiver, and former 15th overall pick in 2020, Jerry Jeudy has been traded to the Cleveland Browns. The Brownies will send over a fifth and sixth-round pick in this year’s draft.

The Broncos are expected to be bad this upcoming season, and unfortunately Jerry Jeudy has not been as effective as advertised when Denver picked him four years ago. Jeudy is coming off of arguably his worst season excluding his second year where he suffered a season ending injury. Jeudy was already expected to not resign once his rookie contract expired, so it was best for Denver to at least get some value in return.
On the other side of the deal, Cleveland should be pleased to only have to give up two late draft picks. Jeudy could be a great complement to Amari Cooper in a receiver room that has lacked a true number two option at receiver since the departure of Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. The Browns offense at times has looked lackluster, especially in the absence of Nick Chubb. Add Chubb and Jeudy back into the mix, and the Browns could be right back in the postseason come January if they can solve their quarterback questions.
